ABOUT THE CONFERENCE PROGRAMME SUMMARIES OF PRESENTATIONS
Prof. Zrinka Erent-Sunko, PhD
Zrinka Erent-Sunko is a full professor at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. She completed a classical primary school and a classical grammar school in Zagreb. After her traineeship, she worked in the city administration of the City of Zagreb, dealing with real estate as well as displaced persons and refugees. Since 1997 she has been working at the Section for the General History of Law and the State. Following her post-graduate study in civil law sciences, she acquired her Master’s degree with a thesis from the area of family law titled “The Legal History of Women throughout History, and the Contemporary European Family Law”. In 2007, she acquired her doctoral degree with a thesis titled “The Athenian Democratic Institutions and Their Impact on Social Phenomena”. Apart from the General History of Law and the State, she also teaches the following elective courses for fifth-year students: History of Modern-Period Political Theories, and the Development of European Integration and Institutions. Her research focuses on topics connected with ancient law, old codification, position of women throughout history as well as topics relating to the development of European law and factors that influenced it throughout history.
