Assist. Prof. Marija Džinić, PhD

Presenting Study of Canon Law at Ecclesiastical Schools in Croatia – Sources and Canon Bibliography

Marija Džinić was born in 1985 in Vinkovci. She enrolled in the philosophical-theological study programme at the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer, Catholic Faculty of Theology, in Osijek. In July 2008, she enrolled in the post-graduate study programme in canon law at the Faculty of Canon Law of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. She acquired the academic degree of canon law licentiate (Master of Sciences) in 2011. At the same Faculty, she enrolled in a doctoral programme and acquired ta doctorate in canon law on 26 September 2018 (Doctor of Science). She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Since the academic year 2022/2023, she has been the Vice-Dean for Classes and Studies. Regarding her involvement with the Church, until 2018 she was a judge to the Interdiocesan Tribunal of First Instance in Đakovo. Currently, she is a permanent attorney to the Interdiocesan Tributal of First Instance in Zagreb.
