Tomislav Sadrić, Mag. iur.

Presenting Canonical Mandate and Working at a University through the Prism of the Court Practice of the European Court of Human Rights

Tomislav Sadrić is a lawyer and attorney from Zagreb. He graduated from the Pazin Collegium – the grammar school in Pazin – and graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. During his studies, he was awarded the Rector’s Award for an independently produced original scientific paper titled “Intertwining of the Croatian and Canon Property Law on the Basis of the Agreement between the Holy See and the Republic of Croatia”. He is a partner at a law firm in Zagreb, dealing in practice mostly with legal counselling in connection with public support, concessions, energy and construction projects. He also represents clients in complex, high-profile suits. Apart from in commercial disputes, he is particularly active in the framework of administrative justice, particularly in connection with judicial assessments of the legality of decisions and actions by bodies governed by public law. He has successfully represented clients before the highest national and European courts. He routinely provides legal counsel to ecclesiastical legal entities. He has been a member of numerous permanent or ad hoc groups of lawyers within the framework of the Croatian Episcopal Conference. He has published over twenty scientific and professional papers. He is also frequently a speaker at various professional conferences.
