Assist. Prof. Miran Marelja, PhD
Miran Marelja was born in Banja Luka. In 2017, he acquired a doctorate in law in Zagreb. Since 2011, he has been working at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb, at the Department of the General History of Law and State, currently as an Assistant Professor. He has been involved in numerous scientific projects, notable among them being the project by the Croatian Scientific Foundation titled “Legal and Economic Analysis of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Systems” under the leadership of Prof. Sonja Cindori, PhD. He has presented at numerous scientific conferences at home and abroad. As an author or co-author, he has published a large number of scientific papers. He has been a member of the Zagreb Law Review journal since 2021. Dr Marelja’s chief area of scientific interest are the legal and historical aspects of international law, particularly humanitarian and diplomatic law, as well as the legal and historical development of legal subjectivity, connecting the legal and historical matter with substantive law issues.
