Prof. Stefano Testa Bappenheim, PhD
Stefano Testa Bappenheim is a professor of Canon and Ecclesiastical Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Camerino. After graduating in Law with the highest distinction, he acquired his doctoral degree at the University of Paris with a thesis on damages for the murder of a religious person in the Italian, French and German legal systems. He received a Marie Curie Scholarship at the University of Tübingen. He focuses on the historical and legal aspects of the religious profession, Mörsdorf’s theories of canon law, and has authored a monography on religious symbols in public spaces, in which he elaborated on the topic of disputes arising in various parts of the world. He has authored approximately 150 works in the area of Italian as well as comparative ecclesiastical and canon law.
