Prof. Vlado Bučkovski, PhD

Presenting Activities of Famous Croats in Macedonia and their Contribution to the Development of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje

Vlado Bučkovski is a full professor of Roman Law at the Justinianus Primus Faculty of Law of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Bučkovski graduated from the Faculty of Law in Skopje in 1986, and acquired his Master’s degree in 1992 on the topic of consensual contracts. He defended his doctoral thesis titled “Roman and Contemporary Lien Law” in 1998 at the same Faculty. He was the Minister of Defence, Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia (from 15 December 2004 until 27 August 2006) and a member of the Macedonian Sobranie (Assembly). His scientific activity is focused on the areas of Roman law and legal rhetoric. He has published numerous papers in national and international journals. He is an active member of the Societas pro Iure Romano scientific association as well as the Argumentum association for social research in Skopje.
