Assist. Prof. Ana Biočić, PhD
Ana Biočić was born in Zagreb, where she acquired a PhD in the academic field of history in 2014. She has been working at the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb in the Department of Ecclesiastical History since 2008. Since 2021, she has been the acting Head of the Department. She has led two institutional projects at the Faculty as well as the project titled “Religion and Science”, funded by the John Templeton Foundation and Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, Oxford University. Since 2023, she has led the Institutional Project titled “Catholic Church and Politics”. In 2019., she received the Rector’s Award. She is a member of the American Catholic Historical Association, the Ecclesiastical History Society London as well as the Society for Global Nineteenth-Century Studies. She has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Croatica christiana periodica magazine since 2011., Executive Editor since 2018. and Chief Editor since 2023. Her main research area is ecclesiastical history with emphasis on the Croatian ecclesiastical history of the 19th century.
