Indonesian Cultural Day and IISMA 2024 students at University of Zagreb

In the winter semester 2024/25 the University of Zagreb is hosting 25 Indonesian students within mobility programme IISMA 2024 - Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards.

On Tuesday, 12th November 2024, from 11 am to 3 pm, IIISMA 2024 students are organizing Indonesian Cultural Day at the premises of the Student Centre University of Zagreb.

Students will present Indonesian culture, cuisine, traditional music instruments and clothing.

In the winter semester 2024/25 the University of Zagreb is hosting 27 Indonesian students, 25 students within the IISMA and 2 within Erasmus+ mobility programme.

Eighteen female and nine male students come from the following Indonesian partner universities: Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Lampung.

The University of Zagreb is the only Croatian university participating the IISMA - Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards mobility programme. This is the fourth consecutive participation of the University with the highest number of incoming Indonesian students (25 students).

The unique aspect of the IISMA exchange programme is that, in addition to securing financial support for students (travel costs, living expenses and health insurance), it also covers the enrolment and tuition fees at the host institutions. The scholarship scheme is funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) through the Directorate General for Higher Education (DIKTI).

At the University of Zagreb the IISMA mobility programme is organized and implemented by the Central International Relations Office in cooperation with seven UNIZG constituent units: the Faculty of Economics & Business, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics Varaždin, the Faculty of Croatian Studies, the Faculty of Political Science, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and the Faculty of Law.

The University of Zagreb was selected to participate in the prestigious IISMA programme in competition with over 270 higher education institutions from 5 continents and more than 30 countries.
