The University of Zagreb is attending the NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference & Expo, San Diego, California, USA, 27-30 May 2025.
Besides the University of Zagreb, the Croatian delegation participating in the Conference will consist of the representatives of the Croatian Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMPEU), the University of Dubrovnik, the J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka and the Algebra Bernays University. The aim of the participation of Croatian universities in the Conference is to raise the visibility of Croatia as an educational destination, to promote studying in Croatia, to network with higher education institutions abroad, strengthen existing cooperation and make new partnerships.
The participation of Croatian universities in the "NAFSA 2025 Conference & Expo" is organized within the framework of the "Study in Croatia" initiative, which promotes Croatian higher education and supports international students to enroll in full-time studies in Croatia, and the Croatian exhibition space at the Conference is organized by the Croatian National Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth (MZOM).
As part of this visit to the USA, the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Los Angeles organized for Croatian universities to visit the Croatian community in Los Angeles and present studying opportunities in Croatia, and to participate in the celebration of the Statehood Day with the Croatian community in San Pedro.
