Student residence hall "Stjepan Radić"

The Student residence hall STJEPAN RADIĆ is the largest student residence in Zagreb. Students popularly call it "SAVA" because it is close to the bank of the Sava River (an ideal jogging place). The residence consists of 12 buildings, a student restaurant, pizzeria, coffee and pastry shop, grocery shop, post office, club, etc.
All exchange students are accommodated in the buildings number 11 and 12 - built and opened to students in 2011.

All rooms are double bed, i.e. shared with a roommate (there is not an option to be alone in a room), and two rooms share a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator. If you plan to cook, you will have to bring your own dishes.

Students need to bring their own bed linen and towels.

You can wash your clothes at a nearby laundry LAHOR, Horvacanska cesta 27, working hours: Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. All rooms have free Internet access.

How to reach the student residence hall "Stjepan Radić"

FROM THE "FRANJO TUĐMAN" AIRPORT TO THE CITY: Croatia Airlines runs a bus service from Franjo Tuđman International to the bus station which leaves roughly every half an hour from outside the international arrivals and costs €5,97/person, or you can catch a taxi in front of the international arrivals. A trip into the city should cost no more than €30; start ~ €3, 1km ~ €1, luggage ~ €1.

FROM THE BUS STATION (Autobusni kolodvor): At the tram stop in front of the station take the tram number 5 headed towards PREČKO. Get off at the tram stop named the same as the student residence: STUD. DOM. "S. RADIĆ". In front of you, when you cross the street, will be the student residence.

FROM THE RAILWAYSTATION (Glavni kolodvor): At the tram stop in front of the station take the tram number 4 headed towards SAVSKI MOST and get off at the tram stop called the same as the student residence STUD. DOM. "S. RADIĆ".  In front of you, when you cross the street, will be the student residence.

You can buy tram tickets at news-stands or on board the tram - tickets valid for 30 min cost €0,53 and €0,80 respectively.
