Aug 2010 Martijn Dresen from Hilton UK swam, cycled and ran the IRONMAN UK 2010 in 14 hours and 23 minutes! He exercized for a year, many hours per week to achieve this. He engaged friends and family to sponsor him in doing this, donating the proceeds to the Vivian Fund. A total of more than £1,500 !
April 2010 Two students from Narasuan University in Phitsanulok successfully applied for the scholarship. We are waiting for Thammasat University and Chiengmai University to send more biodata of medical students.
March 2010 During the Mekong cup the hockey teams raised 28.100 Bahts for the Vivian Fund. Thank you so much guys for your continuing support!!!
February 2010 5 new students were selected for the scholarship. 6 students are sponsored by CSLA . We thank CSLA for their contribution and looking forward to their ongoing support of the students.
The Soroptimist International approached also Changmai University, The Thamasat University and Naresuan University for the scholarships, as there are more students who might be more in need of the financial support.
November 2009 Students of Khon Kaen University were submitting their applications to the dean of the medical faculty to receive Vivian Scholarship.
October 2009 The application to receive The Chairman's Trust fund from CSLA has been approved! We are sincerely thankful to CSLA, specially to Geoff Boyd and Robert Webber, that they have found Vivian Fund worth their money. CSLA will sponsor initially 6 new students per year, starting from 2010.

May 2009 In style the Mekong Cup Tournament organized a fund raising auction. This year the teams from Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Slovakia were bidding up for Canadian Beer bottles and collector's Tournament shirts. A record 42,200 Baht (917 Euro) was raised!
October 2008 After several months of correspondence with the Soroptimist International in Dusit (SID), Thailand, the Vivian Slot Scholarship Fund is now working together with them in giving the medical scholarships at Khon Kaen University. The SID has already experience in these type of scholarships, and will do the follow-up, gets the grade report and correspond with the students. Thank you Mrs Pattama Triyakul for all your hard work! And we thank all the people involved in Australia and Thailand! The Fund is proudly introducing first 6 medical students at Khon Kaen University in Thailand! We wish them good luck in their studies!
August 2, 2008 During the church wedding ceremony of Mathilde and Nicolas Nussbaum in Geneva, Switzerland, family and friends donated 1035 CHF (EUR 642) for the VSSF. The Priest beautifully said that no matter of the religious denomination, we should never leave a holy place without thinking of the ones less fortunate than we are, and asked the invitees for donation. We hartfully thank Mathilde, Nicolas, pastor William McComish, and all the wedding guests for their support of the Vivian Slot Scholarship Fund.
May 2008. During the 14th Mekong Cup ball hockey tournament in Thailand, 29,500 Baht was raised, mostly by auctioning the collector's item tournament shirts, and of course the skills of Jeff Wall as auction master.
