From 23rd January 2020 onward, University of Zagreb's Office for Students with Disabilities will be operating at a new location on the ground floor of the Student residence hall 'Stjepan Radić' building 12.
The Office for Students with Disabilities' new location is highly organised and designed to be even more accessible and open to all clients currently receiving any form of support or realizing rights through their status (adjusting class attendance and test-taking, peer support in an academic environment, transport accommodations, student assisted living, etc.). At the moment, the Office supports about 400 University of Zagreb students with disabilities.
Through a selection process overseen by the Student Council of the Academy of Fine Arts, Nikolina Žabčić, a junior at the undergraduate studies of Animation and New Media, was picked to paint part of the new facility.
With the new facility situated within the student residence hall, and through the Office for Students with Disabilities, the University of Zagreb aims to further its efforts to help the students in need of support of some kind, and aid them in their studies. The Office operates as part of University of Zagreb's Office for Study Programmes and Quality Assurance.
