UNICA Rectors Seminar at University of Zagreb - May 23rd and 24th 2019

The UNICA Rectors Seminar "Digitalization and Education. Can universities keep up with Industry 4.0?” will be hosted by the University of Zagreb on Thursday and Friday, 23-24 May 2019.

The Rectors Seminar will address the added value and novel forms of inter-university cooperation and explore the background for the growing interest in topics of digitalization and education. The Seminar will also look at the specific benefits of cross-border and inter-institutional partnerships, including joint efforts to prepare universities and member states for Industry 4.0.

The Seminar - organised in the framework of the 350th anniversary celebrations of the University of Zagreb - will also look at how Croatia as a new EU Member State, and the University of Zagreb in particular, face these crucial challenges.

Rectors/Presidents, Vice-Rectors/Vice-Presidents, Deans, other representatives of Academic Leadership and university top management will participate and exchange their views about main topics of the Seminar. Prof. Miloš Judaš, Ph. D., Vice-rector for Science, Inter-Institutional Cooperation and International Relations of the University of Zagreb will be Overall Chairman, welcome speech will be held by prof. Damir Boras, Ph. D., rector of the University host, Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development and prof. Luciano Saso, Ph. D., UNICA President.
