Second Erasmus+ Staff Week for Programme and Partner Countries Begins at the University of Zagreb

A welcome speech by Rector Professor Damir Boras, Ph. D. marked the official commencement of the second Erasmus+ Staff Week for Programme and Partner Countries, dedicated to partners around the world with which the University of Zagreb is either currently collaborating, or plans to do so through the KA103 and KA107 Erasmus+ projects for academic mobility, and bilateral cooperation.

The Week takes place from 18th to 22nd March and is managed by the University of Zagreb International Relations Office. The aim of the event is to review the present state of partner collaboration, as well as examine the possibilities of its continuation and expansion to other types of projects and forms of cooperation. During the Week, professors of the University of Zagreb (Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Geodesy, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Faculty of Organization and Informatics) will give a series of lectures and workshops for foreign guests, regarding topics such as: the effect of mobility projects on a personal, institutional and national level, participation in Erasmus+ projects for strengthening institutional capacities, and advancing education quality through international partnerships in performing joint courses/study programmes.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering and the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, and get acquainted with students' standard of living and studying through the office of Student Centre Varaždin. A series of organised visits to faculties and art academies of the University, as well as work meetings regarding present and future collaboration will be conducted throughout the Week.

The Erasmus+ Staff Week has been included in the official commemoration programme of the University of Zagreb's 350th anniversary.
